"Amazing little welder. Perfect for small jobs. I have always used really big Lincoln welders, so I was surprised by how much I could do with this little machine." -Amazon Verified Purchaser

"I purchased this to add to my company's service van. This is one amazing machine. I was really skeptical upon opening it, and seeing how small and light it is. All I can say is WOW. After an hour or so of continuous use the unit was barely warm to the touch. For the price, I doubt you'll find a better portable welder." -Amazon Verified Purchaser

"I live in another country where good quality welders are not available. I needed (a machine) to carry in my luggage, and this light-weight inverter was great for this. Boy, was I surprised with the capabilities of this machine. The last time I welded was as a teenager in 1970 using a full-sized Lincoln, dragging huge heavy cables from the 220 plug to the work piece. This small unit is just the thing for light work you need to get done quickly."
-Amazon Verified Purchaser

"Not a trained welder and this is my first one, but for around the house stuff it has worked great. I feel pretty confident this will work for those need for years to come. It's a shame all the crap I've thrown out that I could now fix. Super glue for metal." -Amazon Verified Purchaser

"The first unit (I) received had an issue very early on. A simple phone call (not the hours long wait that you'd expect from many companies) and they had a new unit on our doorstep in just a few days. That was unexpected and appreciated." -Bryce Rogers, Amazon Verified Purchaser

"Amazing what this 110V machine will weld! Quietest stick welds I've ever experienced." -Amazon Verified Purchaser
"This is a surprisingly capable welder for the price. It is a true DC power supply, where many units of this class would be AC. Out of the box it can do two types of welding-- Stick and MIG. Most machines in this class would do one. You can use flux-cored wire in the MIG setup and avoid the need for a full gas setup. That makes it ideal for a beginner or hobbyist-- you can start out simple and work your way up."  -Home Customer
"I am extremely satisfied with the machine. It is definitely user friendly, simple to operate and does exactly what is needed for any job."
-Home Customer
"Forney went out of their way to get things right. MIG with flux core wire or Stick welding is a great way to start out. The Forney 140 MP is ready when you are!"
-Home Customer
"I am very impressed with this welder. I have not tried the TIG portion of it as of yet, but I did use the flux core side to replace a quarter panel on a car and it has excellent penetration and flow out. I would highly recommend this welder."

"Okay, so let's get this out in the open; this welder is not a Lincoln or a Miller, so therefore it will not perform anywhere near a true MIG 220V big boy welder. Once you know this, and keep that in your mind while using it, it will become one of the most agile welder for the money." -Amazon Verified Purchaser
"I got this as a gift for my son and he tells me he loves it. Previously he was using my Miller with the shielding gas but says this one works just as well, without need for extra accessories." -Amazon Verified Purchaser
"I really like this little welder. I have welded in a shop and used high-end welders before, I needed something for home to do some body work on a vehicle and other projects. Does sheet metal great, and also heavier steel! I am very impressed." -Chris, Amazon Verified Purchaser
"Great welder!!! I have been welding for 9 years out of school and this little welder is perfect for what it's meant for. Forney's customer service is amazing as well, I had to replace my wire feed controller because I broke it, and they overnighted me another one the next day. Overall, this is a great portable hobby welder!" -Barry, Amazon Verified Purchaser
"This welder has paid for itself. I've done exhausts, welded broken tabs back onto stuff, modified brackets, etc. Very glad I added this tool to my garage."

"This is the best MIG unit I've ever had, it is easy to carry and makes great welds. I put it on my golf cart and now I was able to make a grave monument for my cat stinky. This little welder made it happen all on a Saturday morning. I also carry it on my motorcycle to friends houses."
-Nikolas, Amazon Verified Purchaser

"It's easy to use. Welder(s) with gas work better but this one gets the job done. It's not as clean and (you) have to clean off splatter. The voltage regulator helps rather than having 2 settings." -Amazon Verified Purchaser

"Just plug into 110 Volts and you are welding. This welder uses flux core wire which is purchased separately. This really simplified the welding process, previously I needed a tank of gas. After hooking up a ground clamp it is ready to weld. This light weight unit can easily be carried with one hand, yet it achieves a quality weld with good penetration in a single pass."
-Home Customer

"The power unit is lightweight and portable. The handle on the top also functions as a storage loom for the main and welding leads. I used the welder for more than 3 hours with a few short breaks. During my session I had no problems or faults with the welder. I was using (it) on the lowest setting and I still burned a few holes in the thin sheet metal I was working with. The only complaint I have is the length of the main power cord. I suggest buying the recommended 25-foot, 12 gauge extension cord along with the welder."
-Home Customer

"Well made, easy to use flux welder. When I got the opportunity to get this flux core wire welder, which does not need gas for welding, I decided to give it a try. Other than the fact that it uses wire with flux inside (which requires more clean up between passes), and a little practice getting used to running a decent bead, I feel that it will serve my welding needs for as long as I need a welder. If you think that you will be welding on a regular basis, you might want to go with the same brand (well made) but the (a machine) that uses gas and solid wire for welding, which produces a cleaner weld."

"I'm not even a welder but this makes me look good. I've had the other expensive ones and for the price this kills. I won't ever buy another one except for this brand." -Tractor Customer

"I'm really impressed! This plasma cutter is built well, and I expect it to last me for many years. I did a lot of research before taking the plunge, and I don't know of a better quality cutter on the market for this price!! Yes, I recommend this product." -Tractor Customer

"This works great!! It has a very easy setup. You do need an air compressor and a proper AC outlet. Once hooked up to the air and plugged into a proper outlet as stated in the instructions it's ready to go."
-Home Customer

“This plasma cutter is great. I have avoided getting one for years since they tend to be expensive. This cutter is reasonably priced, so I was a little wary. Turns out that it is so much better than the previous ways I have had to use for steel cutting. I have done most of my cutting in the past with an oxyacetylene torch. It works well but puts a tremendous amount of heat into the object that you are cutting. This Forney plasma cutter causes much less heat and therefore less warping when you cut thin material. It starts the cut instantly and has way less dross or slag that the oxyacetylene torch. The cut is so clean that it is almost like it was done with a saw. I am glad someone finally came out with a reasonably priced plasma cutter."
-Michael, Home Customer

“I have used Forney welding gear in the past and was impressed with the quality. The plasma cutter continues that tradition in great performance. The instruction manual is easy to read and understand, and the included quick start card is a plus, Forney has another winner!” -Home Customer
